La Pele

La Pele is a Spanish director splitting her time between Spain and Mexico City. She studied Advertising and began her career as a copywriter in London before moving into the art department, becoming an art director, then a stylist — and ultimately embracing directing.

Her approach to filmmaking is rooted in one principle: everything must answer the same idea. She is driven by the search for a simple, powerful concept capable of holding an entire film together. Once that idea is found, every decision — performance, cinematography, production design, editing — becomes part of the same conversation. Craft exists not to impress, but to make an idea unforgettable.

With a background in copywriting and art direction, she sees directing not as executing an idea, but building one from the very beginning. Drawn to human behavior and subtle performances, her work balances strong concepts with emotional honesty.

She has collaborated with agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi New York, Ogilvy, Havas, McCann, VML, and Grey, creating campaigns for brands such as Coca‑Cola, Toyota, Danone, Chevrolet, and P&G.
